Is tinea versicolor a symptom of lupus

Simple answer for the above question is NO. Tinea versicolor is a skin condition caused by fungal infection. Lupus is an autoimmune condition. In lupus there are rashes but they are not caused by fungal infections. Lupus causes discoid and malar rashes. They are treated with various drugs that are different to antifungal medications prescribed for Tinea infections.
